The BrocanteHome Puttery Treats Challenge

Alison May, Mistress of all things Home and Snuggly, has issued a "BrocanteHome Puttery Treats Challenge". (To visit BrocanteHome in all its glory, click here.)
(-I especially like #3...every time I wear that stack of jangly bracelets, it makes me happier. It's a fun thing to run into a little boy at the library who wants to look at each one up close, or a sweet lady in the market line who remembers the cards from her childhood. It's a comforting bit of wearable 'home' to lug around on my wrist.)
One of my all-time favorite suggestions was her list of things to do with vintage postcards. The list was lovely and long, but here is the one I've chosen...
Pretty Things To Do With Vintage Postcards:
Photocopy them and use them for decoupaging any flat surface.
Allrighty, then! Have I mentioned I'm a Halloween nut?
1. I attached copies of Victorian Halloween postcards to a neat vintage octagon brass and glass box. With a votive candle lit inside, it makes a nice transparent glow.
2. A close-up of one panel.
3. I took some old clunk bracelets, and decoupaged the heck out of them with tiny old postcard images.
4. A happy switchplate cover for your All Hallow's Eve haunting.

Taking a break for a while

Hello Everyone-

I have decided to take a break from my daily paintings for a while. I am attempting to write a novel in the month of November, along with the rest of the http://www.nanowrimo.com/ group.

I might be back in December.
I welcome any input regarding the blog, so comment away!
